Program Manager
Junction Systems · Basra, Iraq
About the role
Join Junction Systems as a Program Manager in Basra and own the roadmap for a product area that thousands of customers use every day.
Job description
Junction Systems is hiring a Program Manager to join the team in Basra, Iraq. We're a growing organisation in our space and the next person in this seat will help us scale how we serve customers across the region.
You'll own the roadmap and outcomes for one of our core product areas. That means working backwards from customer problems, deciding what to build, why, and in what order, then partnering with engineering and design to ship it.
This role is a structured internship programme. You'll partner closely with engineering, design, marketing, and customer-facing teams and report into the relevant team lead. We move fast, give people real ownership, and keep the bureaucracy low — if that sounds like the kind of environment you do your best work in, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll do
- Define and own the strategy and roadmap for your product area, anchored in measurable outcomes.
- Run customer research, synthesise findings, and turn them into clearly written specs and PRDs.
- Work closely with engineering and design to scope, sequence, and ship work on a quarterly cadence.
- Define the success metrics for every initiative and follow up after launch to confirm impact.
- Communicate progress, trade-offs, and decisions to leadership and the wider company.
- Stay close to the market — competitors, regulation, and what customers are asking for.
What you'll need
- 4+ years in product management at a software company.
- Demonstrated ability to ship products that move a metric the business cares about.
- Strong written communication — you can run a project through Notion or a doc, not just meetings.
- Comfortable using SQL or analytics tools to answer your own questions about the product.
- Genuine curiosity about customers; you regularly sit in on support calls or user interviews.
Perks & benefits
- Pension or retirement contributions matched up to 7%
- Competitive base salary benchmarked to local senior market rates
- Paid parental leave of 16 weeks for primary carers
- Quarterly home-office and equipment top-up
- Wellness budget covering gym membership, therapy, or coaching
