Monzo Bank · London, United Kingdom

Internship 2–4 years Entry level P27k - P162k / year

About the role

Join Monzo Bank as a Data Entry Clerk in London and turn raw data into decisions for the team.

Job description

Monzo Bank is hiring a Data Entry Clerk to join the team in London, United Kingdom. We're a growing organisation in our space and the next person in this seat will help us scale how we serve customers across the region.

You'll be the person teams come to when they want to understand what's actually happening in the product or business. Our data lives in a modern warehouse and is modelled in dbt; you'll spend your time turning that raw data into decisions.

This role is a structured internship programme. You'll partner closely with product managers, engineers, finance, and the leadership team and report into the relevant team lead. We move fast, give people real ownership, and keep the bureaucracy low — if that sounds like the kind of environment you do your best work in, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain dashboards and self-serve tooling that let teams answer their own questions.
  • Run deep-dive analyses on retention, growth loops, funnel performance, and user behaviour.
  • Define and own core business metrics in a way the whole company can trust and reproduce.
  • Partner with engineering on instrumentation so events are clean, complete, and well-documented.
  • Communicate findings clearly through written reports, not just dashboards.
  • Help non-technical teammates level up their data literacy through pairing and office hours.

What you'll need

  • 2+ years of experience in an analyst, data scientist, or analytics-engineering role.
  • Fluent in SQL — you'd be comfortable showing your work on a CTE-heavy query.
  • Working knowledge of Python or R for ad-hoc analysis and modelling.
  • Familiarity with at least one BI tool (Looker, Metabase, Tableau, Mode, etc.).
  • Strong communicator who can frame the "so what" of a chart without being asked.

Perks & benefits

  • Hybrid working — split your week between the office and home
  • Quarterly home-office and equipment top-up
  • Annual learning budget you can spend on courses, books, or conferences
  • Competitive base salary benchmarked to local senior market rates
  • Pension or retirement contributions matched up to 7%
